Embracing Challenge

The global COVID-19 pandemic has had a huge disruption on normal life, which was already difficult in many countries. The impact of closed schools and children stuck at home with little or no access to learning has been devastating for schools, students, and parents. Experts estimate that a full year of learning could be lost, implying that an entire cohort of students may be permanently behind in their learning.

The crisis and its aftermath have exposed flaws in educational systems while also providing opportunities to reshape school education into a more resilient and robust paradigm. This pandemic is not the first to affect countries and schools, nor will it be the last. With climate change, technological disruptions, and globalized connectivity, such crises are becoming more likely.

During this pandemic, the academic program at St. John-Hill Academy places a strong emphasis on all aspects of student growth and development. Proper class sizes and outstanding, skilled teachers allow us to provide a comfortable and inclusive educational environment while guaranteeing the individual attention and support each student needs.
